I'd gamble Its got to do with voice chat being introduced. Voice probably changes how the client interacts with the firewall for security purposes.

It's trying to help you quit league. Expand your horizons and such.

I know right? I keep getting worried someone’s messing with my League programming or something, but it’s just something weird with the game right now.

Windows firewall tends to lose track of if a program is allowed through or not if the exe itself changes significantly or changes location. I think my firewall has 10-15 different entries for Heroes of the Storm since I have to give it permission every single update.

I didn't get it last patch but did this but the last 2 patches I've got bug splats while updating, it seems to stall and then appears but patches fine.

i get a popup every time i have a new program/game that wants to connect to the internet. it's just like hey do you want to allow this on public networks or not basically.

Tbh i just ignore the popup but it is annoying that it's happening every patch. I suspect they changed some code here and there with the voice chat and open parties and stuff and that's why.
