The reason people dont play ranked teams is the terrible matchmaking you guys have. my team is bronze 1 yet somehow we get matched against gold teams and plat teams or even diamond teams. fix this riot. you guys want people to play 5s all the time constantly promoting 5s and offering rewards but youre promoting a broken game mode. is there a reason why you cant balance it? or do you guys just make game that are decided right at matchmaking?
I did some research, and saw that most of the teams you've gone up against were actually around the Bronze I/Silver V range, where your team is placed. While the teams have had some gold, plat, or even diamond players (even your own team has some plats and golds on it), the teams themselves were actually ranked around this range. Also, there were some silvers on many of those teams as well.
Now, the thing to note about ranked team's matchmaking is that the team itself has it's own MMR, and this is what matchmaking uses when matching you up against other teams. Ranked 5's cares very little about each player's individual solo queue ranking, because to be honest solo queue ranking doesn't matter a whole lot when it comes to ranked 5's as they are vastly different.
