New Client Won't Let Select Summoner Name
I believe it's a bug.
Has anyone else seen this? When creating a new account, and then selecting the new summoner name (upon first loading) it will not allow me to select a name, it just sits there.

I'm experiencing precisely what you're describing. I'm attempting to help a friend get started on LOL. I have already downloaded everything, created their account on the website. But after that, and after all the new patches and downloads I'll punch in the new log in info and it will direct me to a page asking me what I want my summoner name to be. I type in the name and tap enter and a confirmation of "Are you sure this is what you want to display in game?" with YES and NO boxes pop up. I click "YES"and NOTHING HAPPENS. Click yes again, nothing. Keep clicking yes, no avail. Rebooted LoL. Same thing. I could click that box all day long and get nowhere. Anybody have any ideas? Fixes?
Yoo guys, its because of the new Client update. I got the new client on my computer, and it wouldnt accpet the name on the new account, even tho it show, that the name is avialable. The next day, i tried on my friends computer, who still haves the old client, and it told me, that the name i was trying to get, already was taken..
So my point is, that it (sometimes) shows, that a name is available, even tho is already taken.

I tried making a new account for a friend and when the option for the nickname pops up it says an unexpected error has occurred please try again. I tried restarting the computer and even waiting for the next day but its still giving me the same issues.
i littaly just spend 50min in a que and now i i cant chose a username
Same happening to me, i put a new name and even tho it says its available in the online name checker, and then in the client it also says its available, but then when i press "start now" it puts "Name currently unavailable. Enter a new name and try again" and that is with all the names i tried..
