Long time bug in champ select, when will this get fixed?

I can't even remember how long this bug is going on, normally just an inconvenience but today it crossed the line. And I know I'm not the only one who has it. When you are in champ select and you mouse over or click on a champ, it displays their splash on the right side of the screen and their abilities across the bottom. And while this covers up key parts of the screen, it's giving you useful information, right? And, NORMALLY, it disappears when you click elsewhere on the screen. But not always, sometimes it hangs. Until you click another champ. I've had it hang when someone dodges a q and now I've got a splash covering my friends list. Irritating but not game breaking. But now it has cost me LP, so I'm posting. Let's say you are tweaking some masteries while waiting on your pick. The mastery page blocks the whole middle of the screen, yet somehow, when it comes my turn to pick, the champion splash and ability mouseover jumps up....OVER THE CLOSE MASTERY PAGE X. So now I can't click the champ splash away, and I can't click off my mastery page, and I end up dodging, losing LP, and getting a leaver timer. WTF. Now an annoying bug that's just floated around for far too long is costing me time and LP. Not pleased.
