Why am I marked as AFK right now?

I was queing up for a teambuilder game as Vayne. After waiting a few minutes for the support while watching sp4zie, a lulu showed up. Everyone locked in and the game told us the match would start in 5...4...3... and then I realized I still had smite from my previous game! I immediately quit the client and felt relieved that I had just narrowly dodged the bullet there. I watched some more Sp4zie because he's a bae and I knew I wouldnt be able to que up for anything for a couple minutes because I dodged. Anyway just now I opened up the client and I see the reconnect screen. What?? THE GAME DIDNT EVEN START WHY AM I AFK????? There was no cancel button, there was nothing I could change once the timer comes up. The only thing I could do was dodge. Not only am I going to be marked as AFK, but my team mates are going to have to play through a game without an adc. It's so late in the game that me reconnecting wouldn't do much, and I don't want to face the wrath of my team. Plus this looks so bad! A vayne takes smite and then afks level 1. I'm not going back in there.

TL;DR teambuilder aparently still starts the match even if a player dodges in the last couple seconds which ruins the game for nine people and gives the tenth a leave penalty. I'm sure this is just a bug or an oversight, because if you dodge in the last few seconds of a normal game it merely cancels the game and places everyone in a different que.
