The program has stopped responding...

I've been playing league for years and I've never had this issue until this patch. When playing dynamic que, I lock in my character and once every few games it says the program has stopped responding and the screen goes gray. I have the option to wait for the program to respond but it never responds thus resulting in me dodging the que. Please tell me if there is a fix or anything i can do as i constantly have to wait at least 5 mins after and I'm losing lp
