J4's ult can be completely negated by a single Shaco box [Gameplay]

I had an ARAM game earlier and as the other team had a Shaco he would keep putting the boxes wherever he could which happened to be one of the bushes. At one point I didn't know there were any left and went to ult as J4. I heard the scream, saw the jump and then I was immediately feared. There was no 'crater', no damage and my ult went on cooldown. I realise this might be an intended behaviour but it sure doesn't feel like it. At worst I would imagine the ult happens and then you get feared inside it but to completely kill it and put it on cooldown feels very wrong.

Steps to repeat? Put a Shaco box down, have a J4 ult you where the box is and be confused.
