Game Crashing After Champ Select

My client crashes with the message "The game has crashed. Please try to reconnect to the game" and has done it directly after champ select twice now, during the time I would normally be taken to the loading screen. What is the issue here, and what do I need to do to correct it, so as to avoid racking up too many reports for AFK?

Sidenote: I spent 30 minutes hitting reconnect during both occurrences, and neither time could I get into the game or loading screen.
