Karma E+Movement Bug

During small skirmishes is when I notice this the most. I will alt + E (self-cast shield) on Karma and hold right-click to move. This often results in my champion moving a short distance in the preferred direction, then stopping, as if I had suddenly hit S. I find this happening most often when I am using E to approach an enemy champion, and it has cost me many kills or assists, as well as deaths.

This has happened numerous times per game as Karma in the last few months, mostly noticeable when I began grinding support role. Is anyone else having this problem, or is it just me? I don't think there are any mouse settings that could affect the ability in such a way, so I am at a loss for any reasoning this happens other than it being a bug.
