Placements bugged?

I'm confused! I figured a soft reset like ive gotten the past two season, but after these last placements i'm quite depressed. Been platinum for 2 years straight. Ended season 4 at plat ii. Ended season 5 at platinum iv. Last season i got a 6-4 W/ for placements and was placed in plat ii. This year i get the same W/L and i get sent to gold iv? I have platinum MMR getting placed vs platinum's. Is the placements all bugged? I could see if i was queued vs GOLDS, but platinum mmr now placed in gold makes absolutely no sense to me. So now im forced to play at platinum mmr and hope i can grind from gold iv? This has to be a joke right?

What's worse I have two friends who have been platinum like me for two years who main / play one champion. Who BOTH got a 6-4 W/L this year which is the same record i have but both were placed in plat 2!! I don't understand...

I was only bronze 5 like a noob i was stuck in hell, anyways I have gotten better and in my placements I went 5W 5L, and I got stuck back in Bronze 5... If there isn't something wrong with placements and how they calculate it all then i might as well just not play league, I tried so hard for those 5 wins and did really well for nothing.

What what I have read, Please correct me if I am wrong, Ill try and find a link to that info, buuut, they said you may be placed lower this season...

I went from plat 5 to silver 4 going 3-7 (although i realize this is trash, i would like to throw in a "but my team" and maybe a "too heavy" so i don't feel so bad. Truth is i had top dmg/usually the only frontliner, and didnt feed (kda was around 4.5-5). Last season i climbed from bronze 2 to plat 5 and now looks I'm doing the same zzzz item 3073 item 3073
