Can't hear DJ sona AS DJ sona?

My roommate just unlocked DJ sona and starting a game together, I held tab and clicked the icon for music. It was all great, and we finished and he started a game as DJ sona without me: but how do you turn on this music if you're the one that's sona? There was no icon next to his face for him to click, like there was when I was Katarina, how do we enable his music for himself?
