[Client][Mac] PBE and Live Client do not show up as separate clients in Launchpad

It's only a minor inconvenience, as they are still separate in the application folder but for some reason the pbe client does not show up as a different application when using Launchpad on mac. This was a problem on mountain lion, and is repeated again on a 2014 macbookpro running osx yosemite.
