Invisible Anivia Q?

So I will try to get a video of this soon, to try and show it, but numerous times recently I have shot off my Flash Frost (Q) with Anivia, and I see nothing. At first, I think that maybe I was stunned and it didn't shoot, but then I see an explosion at max range, and it is on cooldown. In short, it seems that sometimes the projectile is invisible until it explodes.

I have read that this was known about, but people said it only happens occasionally, yet I had a recent battle where it happened numerous times.

P.S. I use the original skin, have been playing SR mid lane when it happened, and have a Radeon R9 270X graphics card.
