[I don't know what to tag this as but I'll say gameplay] Connection error causing a big in-game bug

So I was just playing a match getting all of those sweet memes out and while in a fight I lose a connection (Thanks to a great I lived C:) but once I reconnected it said every champion in the game was level 1. I couldn't use ANY abilities, so I thought "Oh crap" so I run to a lane and start farming, I level up and it refreshed my level to what it should be (I was level 13 going to 14 so it took that long to level up, not just a wave + 1 warrior minion) and I still couldn't access my abilities. So I go to the fountain of knowledge we know and call about what to do, and he just bashes my skull in with a lamp. (Oww.) After that upon re-spawning everything was fixed.

So yes it is an easy in-game fix, but it's quite the hassle to fix if you are playing a purely skill reliant champion such as because how else is she going to get her pentakill? The reason it would be a major issue for her, is she would be farming with just autos. She would get destroyed if an enemy spotted her. Like a in a barrel.
