Game freezes before/as i die

Sometimes when I get hit with anything that will kill me (we will take an auto attack for example) my game freezes right as the auto attack is traveling basically right when the other person who auto's me right clicks me. Then my game will freeze and I always ask my friend who i play with if i die because It will freeze when the auto is traveling but then after a solid second or so my game comes back and im gray screened. I looked at the top right to see if it was a fps lag normally if it jumps from 0 to my normal fps of about 180 I will see a 0 for a second. But when this happens that number stays the same of around 180. Is this a bug or something like what other people are running into or is my computer a potato or something because it only does this when I die.
