What the heck Riot

I was about to start a new game of league of legends, when at 00:01 my entire computer froze. I had to shut it down and when i logged back on, the Login screen was the Assassin rework one, and not the Elemental Lux one. When i logged back into league it said i was placed in low priority queue for 5 games. Than it proceeded to auto-update. How do you expect players to play on your new launcher, when it will not update, Crash them, and even punish them for it? Please help me
