Very annoying kayn e-q bug

if kayn's q is going off at any point in time when is e is ending ( for example pressing e to run through like 3 walls then trying to q a camp) will result in his q being cancelled and put on cooldown, at first when I saw this I though it wouldn't be so bad, but the bug will occur every time at the end of the e duration and it has cost me about 3 kills now.
