Client does not open, click on launcher > league logo appears > dissapears > ???
Also my half life 2 launcher is missing and my files look like this. related?

I've got the same problem as well. I've tried restarting my machine, running the launcher as admin, nothing seems to work :(
Is League potentially opening off screen? Are these laptops that you have TV's or monitors plugged into? Click the Client in the taskbar and then hold down Windows Flag Key and hit up or left arrow, that should bounce it back.
If that's not the case try increasing / decreasing your resolution as it could be attempting to full screen and failing.
still can't play the game...
