Why the hell did I get a AFK Buster!?!?!?

Seriously, I'm furious. I never leave games. I never abandon my team.

But I just tried to play a game, and while the game was loading it suddenly told me the game is no longer available. And I got a leave buster for going AFK. Like, what the hell happened?! Now I gotta wait 20min for 5 damn matches cause the game didn't load for me?

This is just pure BS. Thank you Riot, this is so damn fair. Remember guys, if you don't load into your game, even though it says you're at 60% and three other people are loading up to 30% then bam gone. You get a leave buster on you.

20 minute bans only trigger after you left multiple games. So, you must have had multiple bans in a row to get that 20 minute ban.

On the other hand, e-mail riot support about the issue - they might be able to resolve your case

You cannot get a ban for a single instance of being AFK. Trust me, I had to do it once (something came up and I had no choice in leaving). All you get is a warning, get told not to do it again, and have to type in "I agree" in their little box.

Also, it takes several minutes for the game to start without you. Nowhere in those 5+ minutes did you think of force closing the loading screen and trying again? Nowhere did you think it may have bugged out?
