Game fails to load after champ select/replays

I know there have been reports on this, but haven't found a firm solution just yet in my searches. After champ select occurs, sometimes, the game will fail to load to the loading screen and by extention into the game.

Currently the only solution I know is:

  1. Closing the client,
  2. Starting task manager and click processes,
  3. Close ALL league related programs. League seems to leave a process running even after closing the client. Make sure it's force closed.
  4. Relog into the client

This seems to work for me most times. Other times you have to wait until everyone has cleared the loading screen before your reconnect will work.

Additionally, I've noticed that the same will occur with replays. If you download a replay and go to watch it back, sometimes it will fail to load and when you mouse over the play button it will state that you are already watching a replay. For which the solution is the same as listed above.

I've checked to make sure Anti-virus is up-to-date and has exceptions for League, Firewall has proper exceptions, even added exceptions and exclusions for all Riot folders from my malware protection. I've run the repair tool 4 times and clean reinstalled the game once and problem persists.

NOTE: I personally have never gotten a bug splat from the game failing to load, so I'm not sure if it's a true game bug or an issue with the launcher or what.

Anyone have a set solution to resolve this permanently? Having to relog multiple times and coming in late to a game repeatedly gets tiresome after a while.

just happened to me, already restarted the client 3 times and nothing

restarting the computer worked, but i was 9 levels behind, great team though

The only way to solve this is by Long Off ur PC but when u return to the Match , Game automatic punish u with have more then 5 Minutes afk and will not have any experience or IP won.

Just got a loss in my promotion series due to this bug. Real unhappy with the system that does not allow us to request loss prevented. Game fails to start but continues to tell me it is in progress.
