attack move click bug

I used attack move click to kite forward in lane against a Nautilus. I am really close to him, I think just outside melee range but maybe closer, and there is a minion wave practically outside my attack range its so friggin far away from me! and it's behind me, off screen. and repeatedly, I miss naut just slightly and ashe attakcs the minion way far behind me instead of nautilus right in front of me. like I thought that attack move was suppose to prioritise the target nearest to my click, well it wasn't because there was nothing remotely close to nautilus except him, and I was most definitely within range of him but barely within range of the minion behind me...
