Mejai stacks don't effect adaptive AP/AD rune bonuses

Pretend you are Katarina and go Domination/Sorcery for that juicy newly buffed 20AP.

A Cutlass(25AD) and a Mejai with 25 stacks(20+125AP) you would assume should result in Adaptive AP bonus because 25AD/145AP, however the game doesn't recognize Mejai Stacks and in this case, you would be rewarded 12 Adaptive AD because of the 25AD/20AP(base mejai AP).

As a Katarina player, who builds both Gunblade and Mejai, this screws me over a lot losing this build path to AD(???) Adaptive Bonus.

Katarina herself, also utilizes Electrocute, something she rushes AD into AP with, and the Darkseal plays a major role in this conversation of Physical to Magic damage for her, using the stacks to surpass her 2 longsword start(20 AD), to the 1 kill seal (21AP) at late-early game, she utilizes these stacks to switch damage types mid lane phase when armor starts to pass MR. - Basically, her Electrocute is truly adaptive towards stacks, while the base bonus statistics are not. I can literally have Bonus Adaptive AD, and Bonus Adaptive Magical Damage Electrocute simultaneously. This lacks consistency. If you could please Riot, allow bonus base statistics from runes, to be adaptive with the mejai/seal stacks please, otherwise it just screws people that build mejai + AD that are AP oriented.

No one that builds Mejai is trying to avoid more AP, and they already have enough risk to collect stacks, they should be rewarded for, just like how Electrocute works. If someone is trying to avoid adaptive AP, the solution should be for them to not build mejai and abuse my AP items as a non-AP, not cater to them and make the bonus based on the items base. I can't think of a single ap character this works well for, but then I can think of numerous that this basically is more situationally tuned for that are not supposed to use AP, like Jax, can now stack Mejai, and as long as he has a cutlass, he retains his bonus AD for free, while also gaining magic damage electrocute. It's slightly ridiculous it works that way, and only helps off-meta uses of the item, while also inhibiting correct use of the item.

Overall, I think it would be best to just make it truly adaptive, like it says it is, in the description, and how Electrocute works.
