Weird skin bug?

I've noticed a few times since coming back that some of my champions will have their base skin listed twice. That is a separate prostrate for the base model as if its a reskin. One of them always seems to be a 'fake' and the other real...the thing is, if i pick the wrong skin 'there is no way of knowing until i select it" it displays an error message and then locks me out of using that champion at all.

I could post a screen of it next time i happens...i know this is sort of poorly worded ,but my brain is still fried from finals week
