[client] last used skin doesn't always auto-select

i started this inquiry with the support team (attached file) but basically when i'm in champ select (especially teambuilder champ select) the last skin i used for a champion doesn't always re-select itself if i pick that champion again. this isn't really a game breaking thing but i would appreciate it getting looked into because sometimes i pick my teambuilder champ so fast i don't notice that the skin isn't selected and wind up skinless in game. so far i've had the problem with blitzcrank, kayle and malzahar but i don't think its limited to those champions specifically.
