client says im off line but clearly im not

well im online on my pc connected to the internet as i type this...

but the client wouldnt let me click play , so i closed it. then reopened the client then it wont let me log in says that i "appear to be offline". so i restarted my computer and tried again. same thing " you appear to be offline"

so what gives?

EDIT: repaired client and it let me log in

Had the same problem several days ago. I have no clue what caused it though because it went away on it's own for me. Still a problem though if it is continuing to happen for other people. Riot needs to look into this and fix it.
