Chat broken sometimes

When I try to message someone in game it says player unavail or player not found though I am playing w/ em. I can chat through the client np but once game starts I can't message in game. It isn't consistent one game it does it, the next it works. Next 2 games it won't work, the next one will. Happens in TFT ARAM SR.
