anyone else getting massive fps drops

Definitely not my PC. before preseason 10 my computer would run everything on ultra high and never lost a frame capping at 144. now i cant even run everything on the lowest setting without my framerate dropping to 60 every 3-4 seconds causing a big lag in game. Anyone else having this issue or know whats causing it

EDIT<<< For anyone using blitz, STOP. It was the cause of my issues and blitz even put out a message saying their program is causing it for most users

i keep getting random game lags every 10 to 20 sec. never had this before. ping 21 and frames are at 155. never had these before this patch

I can run witcher 3 on ultra all settings but this client and game smashes my computer like a delicate eggshell.

THIS! I can't even play at this point. One minute I am free and clear CS'ing screen freezes Yasuo is on top of me beating my ass. I know its not my pc, but just for giggles I even tried turning EVERYTHING to low as possible. Still not working, now the game just looks like garbage and is freezing.

I've always had stable 120+ or so fps and it dropped to 0-5 fps for a few seconds once last night. Not really sure why, I don't think I had anything open. LoL can run on a potato. I haven't experienced such a low drop in years.

game legit unplayable at about 3 drakes into the game, just massive fps drops every 20 seconds or so

The game itself is so bad now. Everytime I engage the frame rate drops. When I noticed I'm already dead and my screen goes back to normal.

Same thing here except my entire screen freezes for a few seconds rather then fps dropping. It makes it really annoying to even play the game ;\

Once a game, for like one minute or so, my fps drops to single digits for no apparent reason (or rather falls to 0-7, back to normal, then drops - a few times). It's not that bad since I just have to wait it out and then it's fine, but obviously it's not pleasant.

Same issue here. Even happens in TFT. Started with new patch. Ping is stable. SPECS: Intel i7 7700 CPU, NVIDIA GTX 1080, 32 GB RAM, Windows 10.

I have tried: Restarting League Restarting computer Checking files for corruption Updating Drivers Checking/updating OS

I will try: Running everything on lowest quality Uninstall and reinstall client Checking to see if my computer has teleport equipped

Let me know any other ideas to fix this. I will update as I try the fixes.

my drop is more like stuttering. is anyone else experiencing this? i usually get 100+fps normally but every few seconds i get these fps stutters to 0 fps and it's really frustrating to play the game.

Not just you! I usually have 90-100 FPS on my PC (I know not the greatest) then it dropped to 60, still playable I've seen worse...

And then this patch? Down to 30 on average

So my fps randomly bounces between 20 and 40 and if I'm lucky it's up to 80 again!

Also, I've been getting REALLY bad ping spikes like riding on my usual 40 then jumping up to 144-200 for a good 6 minutes

to everyone saying their game is freezing, thats exactly what its doing. I only say its massive fps drops because right after it unfreezes it says my fps is lower than it normally runs. maybe thats just a bug with the in game fps check after the freeze but either way its making the game unplayable. one second im trying to cs the next second someone is on top of me and im dead. that or mid team fight i just wont know whats going on for 5 seconds and come back to a dead team. Has riot aknowledged this anywhere yet??

yeah just got out of an ARAM where I was seeing the "Attempting to reconnect" box about every 15s. Made playing Pyke damn near impossible.

I hag my ping jump from it's usual 30 to 1400. My game stopped for about 5 seconds, just long enough to die and lose the dragon. I've NEVER lag spiked in league before today.

Yea same here. Constant fps drops. I have a beefy computer, I shouldn't be getting these drops.

I have the same issue, and I DON'T USE BLITZ. Or any other overlays& outside programs etc. I just use league client when i play league. no discord no nothing else. THIS IS JUST RIOT's GAME PROBLEM. STOP blaming on other programs like tilted ranked players and FIX your problem riot.

Now in this patch I have significant FPS drop issues with decent PC, from 200 to 70 for no reason.

If only. I reinstalled yesterday hoping for the client to get un-stuck. What I got was 4 disconnects in my first game. This game is barely worth playing these days.

I was, but only when my laptop was below 5% battery. But that’s consistent across multiple games, so I doubt it’s connected to the experiences described here.

It's 100% not just you. For me the FPS drops happen the most during the drake map changes. ESPECIALLY the Ocean Drake Map. I go from peak 120 FPS down to anywhere between 60 FPS on light action and 40 FPS on heavy team fight abilities everywhere on that map. It feels like a rushed update that didn't get properly tested because it's definitely not optimized. My friend that plays on 240 FPS goes down to half of that at 120 FPS on the new Ocean Drake Map. It's a lack of optimization in the game in the new update.

Id try to use skill shots and use the key 3 times and there would be a long delay before it decides to actually activate the skill shot long before I used it.

Same problem here. CPU: 7700k GPU: NVIDIA 1060 6GB OS: Windows 10 x64

It seems like the problem gets worse the longer into the game you are my theory is that it has something to do with the new dragons added to the game. I've never had this problem until this patch

I figured out that uninstalling fixed it...until I came back today and it started again. Reinstalling AGAIN to see if it fixes it for a bit again... seriously hire programmers not friggin burgeoning pop idiots. you're a game company ffs...

yep its on 300 fps next minute it drops 30-50 frames and you lockup for .5-2 sec and then its back to normal, no latency issues or changes

YES I typically have a 180-220 FPS but cap it at 144. Now my ping is spiking anywhere from 30-135 or so but even when it reads "115" it will look as if I'm only getting about 10 FPS. Every other program and game I have is working perfectly fine.

Game is nearly unplayable for me right now. Especially when high effect champ skins are in a game. So many freezes, slingshots, lag spikes, etc [sg-janna]

This is happening to me as well, drops in frames per second and worst of all: the lag and pausing in the game every minute or so. I thought it was my internet connection, I also uninstalled the game/ re-installed and nothing has worked. Really impossible to play when the game freezes up for a second during team fights.

Yes. I also have this issue. On medium settings, my laptop averages 150 fps, on low settings, my latop averages 200300fps in game. However, I am getting severe fps drops every 1020second or so.

My latop is 4700hq // 16gb ram // 770m // windows 10 pro. I never had this issue before the pre-season update. Please fix this riot.

I have noticed if I close blitz, it doesn't stutter nearly as much. Are we all using blitz or just me?

I tested all of the fixes and the only thing that worked was me closing my blitz.gg which had an overlay. Is anyone experiencing this issue without an overlay?

Not Me, But a couple folks I play with on the regular have experienced the same. FPS rates of 10 - 12 where they were fine prior to this patch

yea same my fps is normally before the update at estimated 120-240fps its not amazing not bad now after the update it drops from 120 to 40 from 240 to 60 and it gets even worse when the rain effect and stuff comes in. I don't think this is a pc problem I think this is a game problem.

On my good pc the game is worse than my intel 2 duo pc...[zombie-brand-facepalm]

On my good pc intel i7 + gtx1080+ 16 gb ram i have fps drops all the time after 6th minute when the ocean drake is alive... and fps drops every 2 minutes...15-30 fps all the time...i am using ultra low settings and shadow off like Rekkles because i can focus better..

On my intel 2 duo pc windows 7, i have fps drops after 6th minute, 2 or 3 times every game and i have 25-35 fps for 3 second...but not all the time..random fps drops and only 2 or 3 times... ultra low settings too...

On my intel 2 duo pc is playable on my good pc is unplayable...

After patch 9.20 i had fps drops only when we were at drakes... after 9.22 patch i have the problem with random fps drops...

Btw if you set the graphics on ultra low or on ultra high is the same...with or without fps drops our fps are the same on ultra low or ultra high settings [zombie-brand-clap]

On my intel 2 duo i could play on high-medium settings with stable 60 fps and 53-58 at teamfights (frame rate cap : 60 fps)...
