Draven Ult Issue

Sometimes when I ult with Draven the Ult will go half the distance and just come back randomly? I didn't re click the R and i was lining up a long range ult and it just stopped about 5 inched before the target i had aimed at and just came back to me. it happens some what frequently when i play him too maybe once a game.
