Kindred's Q Ability - Doesn't always target the enemy you last attacked

So I understand that Q ability isn't designed to prioritize champions, however, in the Reddit Q&A, it was said that she should prioritize the last enemy that you've auto attacked. However, I've been in countless situations where i will be chasing an enemy through lane and Q for the last bit of damage i need under a tower to kill the opponent, only to be completely rejected a kill because all 3 arrows decide that they'd rather attack the ranged minions, over the champion i was just in combat with. Can this be looked at or is there an explanation for why this is happening? I love them as a champion and they're super fun to play but the way her kit works sometimes is more than aggravating.
