Jhin ult not showing Length on Howling Abyss

I was just playing a Howling Abyss game against a . I noticed when he ulted that I could not see the Length of it. I could see the edges going off the side of the bridge but those edges disappeared once they get a certain length out. They also did not show how far his ult went.

Also, his ult reveals, and no where in the ult's description does it state that it does that.
