Game Crash

So just woke up went to play a game, and after Champ Select it seems like the game wont load. It just goes to a black screen and i get an error message saying: Unable to connect to the server. Please <ahref='https://support.riotgames.com/hc/en-us/atricles/201752664'target='_blank'><u> check your network connection</u></a> and attempt to reconnect to your game.

Now i know its not my internet because im obviously online, and the game was working earlier this morning. any way to fix this? just scared since i have never "left" a game before and now im going to get a strike on my account for something that is out of my control!

same issue here in Arizona area if that matters playing last night this morning no patch does not work. allows character selection then drops out when match load starts to occur. internet connection is fine reloaded entire game no help there so looks like its not on my end

This happened to me as well, and it really upsets me that the game I was about to play "counted". There was no prevention lost. I went to fix what could ever possibly be fixed, did everything I thought was preventing me from connecting. And it did it again the 2nd time. I'm in my 2nd game of today, and now I'm afraid it will count as me leaving when Riot never even gave us this warning. They need to fix this. Now.
