[Boards] Quote boxes created in a post using > become >

I've been making a few posts lately, and being the stylistic mater I am, I like to add the little quote boxes that look like:

hi

(if I put quotation marks around a thing they only serve to show what I either see or type I don't actually type the quotation marks)

These really help add organization and all of their other uses, but lately I've discovered a bug. When I type in "> hi" in the post creator the preview shows it as having a box around it. Yet when I look at the post after creating it the boxes are gone and the text looks the same as I typed it. I then, trying to fix the issue, go into the edit section and see the ">" i typed replaced with "&gt ;" (there is no space after the T but it changed if I didn't put it)

I then edit the post replacing all the "&gt ;"'s (again no space) with ">"'s and it works the way it was previewed in the post creator page. (had to do it to this post as well)
