Riot refuses to refund and take responsibility for their mistake.

With the release of the MSI icons I excitedly went to the store to pick me up a fresh new icon but the store only offered it to me for 250 RP. I purchased 2 NA MSI icons for me and a friend for 500RP thinking that that's not a bad price if we do get the IP boost. Shortly after the client updated and made the icon 1IP. This was a glitch / bug that riot is responsible for. After submitting a ticket about it I was told by a support specialist that it is not riots policy to refund RP for summoner icons. Again, my RP was spent BECAUSE riot made a mistake, not me. This is outrages that they can refuse a refund for their mistake in their program. This is awful customer service and even worse business practices.

So how is it Riot mistakes? Usually when sales like this happen when they get put up in the store first its not on their sale price. You chose to spend money right then and there instead of maybe looking up when the 1IP sale was going to hit, or to see if there was a problem with it being RP. You could have waited but decided to buy it with the RP.
