I create the item set and then attempt to drag over the item and it drags with my mouse and then drops back and doesn't place in the set when I let go of the cursor button. I've tried restarting my mac, but that hasn't helped. Can someone tell me what to do? I really don't want to reinstall the entire game.
When I reported to tech support riot wrote back that its a known issue and has no idea when they plan on fixing it. I dont think they understand how important this issue is. It SUXXXXXX!
I have reinstalled the game. DId all kind of things. There has been several other complaints about the same issue here without any comment from Riot. Is there any simple fix or should we wait for a patch that will solve this? Any comments from Riot would be great. Thanks in advance.

Same for me. I can't drag items into or from my item sets since patch 6.22 . I have an iMac with Sierra update. It would be really nice to have something soon to patch this annoying pb.
I know it's an old thread, but I have the same issue on my up-to-date Sierra mac.
Same for me in 6.24. I use mac pro with Sierra 10.12.1 . This is pretty annoying problem.
