Shock Blasts Vanishing

Jayce has had a bug for quite awhile now where shock blasts disappear at the end of their trajectory without exploding. The bug appears to be primarily visual; in the replay that I watched, I was only able to see a few examples, but in game the rate is about 30-40%. This may be specific to Howling Abyss or Debonair Jayce, but it's been going on for a few years now. Whether or not the shock blast is accelerated doesn't seem to matter.
