Evelynn Hate Spikes heading wrong direction

Hey so I've been maining . One thing that has consistently puzzled me is the direction her Q goes. Hate Spikes says it prioritizes the target that your champion is attacking. This is often not the case. Particularly at Red Sentinel and Raptors. I will be autoing the big monster and my spikes will send itself flying towards the closer small monsters.
