Champ select freeze new client

This has happened to me several times. I get into champ select, highlight who I want, then eventually it freezes at someone else's turn to ban. It will stay like that for like 2 minutes it says "x summoner is banning" with 0 seconds on timer. I can still type to my team and they can type back, but it never lets me pick or ban, like the button to do so never comes up. I'm losing LP for this pls fix rito :(
