Back in promo series?

So i just finished my Silver 3 promotional series, which would bring me to silver 2, and right as I finished, it put me in another promotional series. I was excited at first thinking mabey i skipped a division, but when i checked my rank i was still in silver 3, is this normal or is this a bug?
