AUTO shut game = loss

Hey so this is the third time LoL has crashed this patch while in champ select. Gives me an auto lose and probably puts me into that stupid leave buster program. Both of these are complete bull IMO. I shouldn't get penalized for these things. Is there anyway Riot can check if the game crashes from actual leavers?
