[Crash]-[Client] Disconnection from server, apparently reconnected, still can't do things

I am experiencing a bug where after about 90% of my games i get a disconnect message. this course after pressing the continue button on the victory of defeat screen in game. I am then greeted by the "wait for stats..." screen with a disconnect box saying "Connection Error Connection Timeout: The request to the PVP.net server timed out." and an "OK" box to click overlaid. After i click ok the "wait for stats..." screen remains until i click "Skip Waiting For Stats" with means i can not get into the post game lobby. After that if i try to play a game i can click the "Play" button on the main screen and select game mode and launch the new game mode, but i will be left with the backdrop of summoners rift and a blue loading circle going round and round forever never getting to the position preference selection screen, so i can't load into a new game. the only way to fix this i have found is to close the client and restart it, i also can't cancel the lobby at that point.
