[Crash] First game of Season 8

I just got back from work and came to play league and start my placements. As soon as I finished champ select and was loading into the game it crashed and said that my internet connection wasn't working and to restart. After several attempts to close off any other program and even restarting my computer, taking out the ethernet cable and the lot I was unable to get into the game. So despite my trying to see if it was a problem on my end, I was unfortunate enough to face my first loss in my placements. While I know it doesn't affect my placements too much I still get very annoyed that there is this problem with the league servers in the first place. Would love to have some kind of solution or understanding to come out of this but doubt any will come.
