[GAMEPLAY] Malzahar Passive Interaction with Nocture Ult

I had played a few Malzahar game recently and found one match, in particular, to be quite interesting. Whenever I had my passive sheild on as Malzahard and Nocture used the first half of his Ultimate, it would pop my passive. Not sure if that interaction is supposed to occur since Nocture's initial ult is a non-damaging ability (maybe 1 dmg like trundle pillar?).
