Cleanse Didnt remove Fizz ult disable

played katarina against a fizz mid and picked cleanse to deal with his ultimate only to find out that the cleanse only removed the slow from it and not the debuff itself. please inform me as soon as possible If this is how cleanse works...

pick champ 2.take cleanse
catch the fish from fizz 4.use cleanse

cleanse only removes cc.

Sometimes it also removes additional effects that slowed you,but only if these effects are directly tied to the slow(I think most moves that reduce attack speed can be removed with cleanse too because of this).

However it won't work against supression/knockback and won't remove stuff like fizzs shark

Doesn't it make the fish stop following you but it is still there (I could be wrong here)
