Blind bug

I played a game today with a sona and we were against nocturne. He used his ultimate and Sona ulted but i was not there to see it. When the ult ended the green circle next to her was still green. I got confused when she pinged R - 42 Seconds when we were 2v2ing in botlane. Is this a bug or is it intentional?
