Vi Q ping bug

When using Vi's Q, my ping spikes from 60 to sometimes as high as 2100. Everything else works fine, and if i instantly recast her Q, it doesn't lag noticeably. I tested it a couple times in custom games too and it still lagged, though it appeared to be worse around minions.
