Saw this bug happen on wingsofdeathx's stream. IIRC this bug was fixed like a year ago.

I see him still taking the damage from it.

He does take damage from the turret shot, however the damage is applied before the actual animation of the shot hits him. This is a somewhat common occurrence when people flash while a turret shot is on their way to them.

Yep, had this occur and at first thought the same thing the OP did. Then mentally replaying what happened realized I had taken this hit before the flash.
