Mastery Emotes not Displaying

I just played a game with Master Yi, and my level 5 emote was not working. There was a Veigar in my game as well who had level 4 mastery with his champion, and I asked him to use his emote to test the problem. He said that no emote showed up for him, and I didn't see it either. There were also no sounds in both cases.
