Champ Select Bug Punishing Players Unfairly

Today (9/18/2017), I entered champ select of a normal draft and no one on either team could ban. The client glitched out after the banning period and everyone was kicked per usual. HOWEVER, each player was given a five minute penalty. This is absolutely unfair. If this had been a ranked game, I'd have lost lp for this too. But at the end of the day my problem is that the client punished us because it was buggy (not just for one player but TEN), and if it happens again we will ALL be waiting 15 minutes? Please fix this and all the similar bugs in champ select as this is not my first experience with it.
