How to get rid of the hiccups? No seriously, why does my champion hiccup before autoing.

Every other game is a fight against something. This time I had to wait to perform the basic auto attack. Even cancelling auto attacks led to a full hiccup before STARTING the next animation for an auto. Is the time delay hardcoded as a wait or am I seriouly having my champion hiccup in between animations. At 1.5 attack speed, it looked like my champ was fighting against the urge, but alas it still took the full hiccup, plus the dreaded animation wait before dame. A full 2 seconds can go by at .86 attack speed. I guess we should call this the league of hiccups.
