Bug on Xerath's Q in ARAM (against Fiddlesticks?) [GAMEPLAY]

EDIT: been confirmed it isn't the fiddle.

Probably six or seven times in the match (among a hundred+ Q's), I channeled my Q, and about 1 second in, the bar of channeling min->max would vanish, the spell animation would vanish (although the Xerath sprite would remain in the same channeling position).... and if I released the Q key (have quickcast enabled) it wouldn't do anything, I'd be stuck in channeling until the spell fizzled, with normal full slow, etc.

Everyone insisted it was because of fiddle crows. Firstly, it wasn't when fiddle crows hit me, there was no silence indicator, no crow... and often it happened just a couple seconds before Fiddle even casted E (so that obviously, because of spell cooldowns, never could have been his E). Second, when I did get crowed, it always instantaneously canceled my Q channel as it should have.

Something buggy was going on.
